Position Overview
Our client is growing commodity food ingredients distributor. They are expanding its commercial footprint in the U.S and looking to hire an experience Account Manager who can help “hit the ground running”. This is an opportunity to join a newer, entrepreneurial organization at a pivotal stage of growth and play a meaningful role in building the business.
The company is seeking an experienced Account Manager with a proven track record selling commodity ingredients to food and beverage manufacturers. This role is ideal for someone who already has established industry relationships and enjoys developing new business while growing and managing customer accounts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and grow sales of commodity ingredients including cocoa, sweeteners, fibers, and related ingredients
- Leverage existing relationships with food and beverage manufacturers to generate new business
- Identify and pursue new customer opportunities across multiple food and beverage segments
- Manage accounts from initial opportunity through pricing, contracts, and ongoing commercial support
- Work closely with internal teams on sourcing, pricing, and customer-specific solutions
- Monitor market trends, pricing dynamics, and customer needs to support profitable growth

- Prior experience selling ingredients to food and beverage manufacturers is required
- Demonstrated success selling commodity ingredients such as cocoa, sweeteners, fibers, starches, or similar
- Existing industry relationships and manufacturing contacts that can be leveraged for business development
- Strong understanding of ingredient markets, pricing structures, and customer procurement processes
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently in a growth environment
