Summary

Our client has been a leader in the CITRUS INDUSTRY for over 35 years! They are pioneers in the manufacturing of CITRUS INGREDIENTS, CITRUS OILS, FRACTIONS, ISOLATES.  As a result of continued growth, they are seeking an experienced ACCOUNT MANAGER to sell their full line of citrus derivatives to mid-sized Flavor and Fragrance manufacturers nationally as well as Food and Beverage Manufacturers on the East Coast. 

This position will be home based anywhere in US and will call on F&F manufacturers throughout the US. To qualify, applicants MUST have prior experience selling AROMA CHEMICALS, CITRUS INGREDIENTS / CITRUS OILS/FRACTIONS/ISOLATES or similar products. Company prefers applicants with strong industry contacts and customers.

Responsibilities

• Makes sales calls to existing clients and generate new business. Solicit new customers and product opportunities at Flavor, Fragrance, Food and Beverage Manufacturers within the US
• Maintain close personal contact with all key customers
• Identify opportunities with customers where company can offer technology solutions and new product applications that add real value.
• Work closely with technical, commercial and operational personnel to progress identified opportunities.
• Develop a detailed knowledge of the products offered by company to the industry and develop a detailed understanding of competitors, their products and key market drivers.
• Ensure agreed commercial sales and margin targets for the division are met

Requirements

• Applicants MUST have a BA/BS degree. Company prefers Chemistry, Food Science or similar degree.  
• MUST have 3+ years experience selling TECHNICAL CITRUS INGREDIENTS, CITRUS OILS, FRACTIONS, ISOLATES or other similar value added citrus ingredients or raw materials.
• MUST have prior experience calling on R&D groups selling value added Citrus Ingredients to flavor/fragrance/food/beverage manufacturers
• Prior R&D experience with citrus ingredients would be a major plus.
• Must have a sound understanding of citrus ingredients, citrus oils, fractions, isolates etc.
• Will consider technical applicants who have a desire to move into a technical sales role providing they have 5+ years of CITRUS OIL, FRACTION and ISOLATE product application/development experience along with frequent customer contact 
• MUST have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and must be capable of giving professional/technical presentations to customers.
• Must have a professional demeanor, strong business acumen and a solid understanding of financials, margins, budgets etc.
• Position is home based and requires frequent overnight travel as necessary.
