Summary
Our client is a rapidly growing beverage and nutraceutical manufacturer-based in the Dallas, Texas area (Northwest). Due to growth, they have created a new role for an Operations Manager to join our day shift team. Reporting to the VP of Manufacturing, you will be working in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Lewisville, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Manager to provide leadership and vision and help run the plant.
The ideal candidate will have a strong manufacturing background in food/beverage, nutraceutical, pharma or cosmetics industry. This is full-time permanent position requires an effective manager of people with a demonstrated technical background and a thorough understanding of manufacturing practices and principles.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day workflow of production supervisors and related personnel to ensure delivery of high-quality products to meet customer needs. This position requires a self-starter with an analytical mind, technical acumen, and solid computer skills. This key leadership role on site management team will collaborate and interface regularly with senior and executive management.
Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage Production Supervisors and overall performance of production teams, optimizing lines and staff
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and secure resolution of problems
• Oversee new and current line operation start-ups
• Establish and achieve production metrics
• Control over operating manpower and expenditures
• Training and development in production areas
• Accurate communication throughout department
• Effective interaction with all departments; (bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus).
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
• Must have a BA/BS degree and a technical, engineering degree is preferred
• Must have 5+ years of manufacturing/production management experience with a food/beverage, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical or cosmetics industries.
• Must be able to commute to Lewisville, TX for the job.
• Prefer candidates with a strong mechanical/maintenance background with hands-on orientation
• Computer literate with proficiency in Excel
• Must have ERP experience and familiarity with requirements planning processes
• Availability to work additional hours or cover supervisors as business may demand
