Summary

Our client is growing specialty manufacturer of natural and organic beverage ingredients, compounds, fibers and colors. Due to ongoing growth, they are looking to fill a Technical Services/Sales Manager / Sales Support Manager to join their newly created technical services team. Reporting directly to the VP of R&D, this essential role requires supporting the R&D and Sales teams, coordinating efforts across multiple departments, ensuring the seamless execution of technical sales initiatives and customer interactions primarily related to the growth and commercialization of new business opportunities. This candidate must be based in the greater Orlando, Fl area or be willing to relocate to the Orlando area and be willing to travel.  

Responsibilities

• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of food science principles, including ingredient functionality, processing techniques, regulatory compliance, and application in various food products. The role will require a technical degree and prior R&D experience working with natural ingredients used in all types of BEVERAGES/JUICES as well as DAIRY, BAKERY applications etc 

• Customer Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers at food manufacturing companies, understanding their needs, and proposing solutions tailored to their specific applications. 

• Sales Strategy Development: Support Account Managers with identifying potential customers, developing sales plans, and executing strategies to achieve sales targets within assigned territory. 

• Technical Support: Providing technical advice on product selection, formulation optimization, troubleshooting issues, and conducting product demonstrations in labs or on-site. 

• New Product Development: Collaborating with R&D teams to identify market trends and develop new products or applications to meet customer demands 

• Market Analysis: Collaborate with Marketing through monitoring industry trends, competitor activity, and market dynamics to identify new business opportunities 

• Presentation & Communication: Delivering technical presentations to potential clients, explaining product benefits, and addressing technical concerns 

Requirements

• Prefer BA degree in Food Science, Food Technology, science or a related field preferredc
• Must have at least 3-4 yrs of prior technical R&D experience working with specialty ingredients.
• Prefer candidates with beverage R&D experience and/or experience working with natural and organic ingredients, coumpounds, natural colors, fibers (liquid and RTD)  etc 
• Must have experience interacting with customers while supporting the R&D and Sales functions
• Strong understanding of food science, food processing and ingredient application and ingredients functionality of specialty ingredients.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate technical concepts to customers 
• Ability to build relationships with key decision-makers at customer companies 
• Proficiency with CRM systems and sales reporting tools 
• Must be based in the Orando Fl area or be willing to relcoate to Orlando, FL (relocation assistance available). 
• Must be willing travel in the US around 30%
