Summary


We are partnering with an innovative, early-stage specialty ingredient company with patented natural, clean-label solutions designed to replace synthetic ingredients across food and beverage applications, specifically; RTD Beverages, Baked Goods, Dairy Products and Natural Colors.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a natural, clean label ingredient manufacturer on the ground floor of a high-growth startup, where you will play a critical role in shaping the commercial strategy, building revenue, and helping scale a breakthrough technology platform. This innovative product is cutting edge and will replace synthetic thickeners, gums, hydrocolloids, carrageenan, etc. and our natural, clean label ingredient replaces 3-5 synthetic ingredients and will perform better than the ingredients it replaces. Interest in this product is exploding and it’s the right time to join this privately held, start-up company. Good base salary, aggressive bonus and meaningful equity in the business!

The Role
We are seeking a Director of Sales to lead and execute the company’s commercial growth strategy. This is a player-coach “builder” role—ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment and enjoys both closing business and building scalable sales processes.

You will work closely with executive leadership to drive adoption with key customers and convert technical trials into long-term commercial partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategy to drive revenue growth
  • Own and close strategic accounts within food & beverage manufacturers
  • Convert product trials into long-term, repeat business
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline from early-stage opportunities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and leadership
  • Represent the company at key industry events and with strategic partners

Requirements

  • 8+ years of B2B sales experience, including technical or specialty ingredients
  • Proven success selling into CPG manufacturers, ingredient companies, or R&D teams
  • Track record of closing complex, high-value deals with long sales cycles
  • Experience in startup or high-growth environments strongly preferred
  • Strong commercial acumen with ability to engage technical stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel extensively
