VP of Operations

Summary

Our client is an industry leader in the manufacturing of Specialty Ingredients and Flavors sold to food, beverage, nutraceutical and pharmaceutical manufacturers globally. They are publicly traded to customers in over 55 counties globally. They have a large global footprint with over 60 manufacturing plants and 5000 employees worldwide. Over the past few years, they have been steadily growing and expanding within the US market and are looking for an experienced VP of Operations – FLVAVOR to lead their smaller (but growing) operations team.

Responsibilities

The VP of Operations will lead all operations and production in the US/North America which today consists of 4 smaller plants, with approximately 220 employees. Although, they have a smaller footprint in the US, they have aggressive plans to expand in this region so additional acquisitions are very likely. This would be a great opportunity for someone ready to step up to the VP level, currently working for one of the largest, top tier flavor manufacturers working at the Director level. The VP of Operations- Flavors will have full accountability for 4 N.A. based plants including full P&L and budgetary responsibility for the business in the region. They will be responsible to manage all manufacturing, production, quality, maintenance, purchasing, engineering, accounting, finance and all support functions for the business through direct supervision of directors/mangers/supervisors etc.

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Knowledge of and experience working with HACCP Programs • Experience developing, coaching and motivating employees in a team based environment • Working knowledge of statistics • Experience in an FDA regulated facility • Experience working with SAP software system • Certified Quality Control Sanitarian (AIB or NFPS standards) • Willingness to relocate for future assignments In return, this company is willing to pay a generous base salary plus bonus DOE, benefits and relocation.
