Our client is a flourishing commercial bakery specializing in private label cookies and sweet goods. Located in the heart of Las Vegas, they are on the lookout for a dedicated Operations/Plant Manager to steer our 30,000 sq ft facility through an exciting phase of expansion.
As they scale our operations and enhance our equipment, we require a dynamic leader to oversee daily production activities. Their team is small but will be growing soon and your role will be pivotal in managing both our current workforce and new recruits.
Responsibilities:
• Direct and optimize production teams and processes.
• Uphold and exceed quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production challenges.
• Initiate and supervise line operations, both existing and new.
• Set and meet production goals and metrics.
• Manage manpower and control operational expenses.
• Lead training and development initiatives.
• Maintain clear and effective communication across the company.
Requirements
• A proactive individual with 7+ years of supervisory or managerial experience in the food industry, preferably within a bakery setting.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but extensive bakery experience (5+ years) in production management may substitute.
• A positive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Residency in or around Las Vegas, NV.
• A strong mechanical or maintenance background is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in computer usage, especially Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems and understanding of requirements planning.
