Account Manager Seasonings

Summary

Our client is seeking a passionate, high energy and results driven Account Manager with a solid background in the seasonings or ingredients to sell to meat, snack and other food manufacturers in the Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa AND Kentucky, Tennesse, West Virginia and Arkansas territories. This is a remote sales position and a successful candidate will need to reside in an area that allows them to efficiently and effectively cover the territory

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow current accounts acting as point of communication and technical resource by visiting in person and by electronic means on a regular basis. • Assist in growing accounts through new product development. • Target food manufacturers and seasoning distributors in the above listed states. • Communicate with Customer Service to maintain customer requirements. • Represent company at trade shows and seminars. • Approximately 50% travel required. • Control travel expenses with strategic use of travel budget. • May be asked to assist in other territories.

Requirements

 Must have a Bachelor’s degree, preferable in food/animal/meat science, business management with meat industry knowledge and experience. Master’s degree is a plus  Must have at least 3 years of seasonings/spices or meat ingredients sales experience  Must be living in the region (KS, MO, NE, IA or TN, KY, WV or AR) and be willing to travel  Experience with Meat and/or Sausage formulations and sausage processing is a plus  Would like candidate to have experience selling seasonings and spices or similar type ingredients preferably to the seasonings/processed meats industry.  Must be computer literate and know how to use key software including Salesforce, Word, Excel, Outlook and expense reporting software.  Must have the ability to develop a sales strategy for your territory.
